1
And the whole earth
was of one language, and of one speech.
2
And it came to pass,
as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar;
and they dwelt there.
3
And they said one to
another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick
for stone, and slime had they for mortar.
4
And they said, Go
to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may
reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered
abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
5
And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the
children of men builded.
6
And the Lord said, Behold, the people is
one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing
will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
7
Go to, let us go
down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one
another’s speech.
8
So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of
all the earth: and they left off to build the city.
9
Therefore is the
name of it called Babel; because the Lord did
there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth
Genesis 11:1-9
(KJV)
The story of the
tower of Babel is rather short, but it is well known. Not long after the floods
of Noah, people were very organized in their actions. “let us make brick, and
burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for
mortar” is symbolic of a society where everyone is the same, individualism is
replaced by conformity as stones are replaced by bricks. God saw this
uniformity, and that people were trying to build a tower to create a way to
heaven on their own (a laughable effort). In response, God confounded all the
languages and destroyed the uniformity, but enabled the people to become unique
in their own families. In his wisdom, he created disorder out of order to
create a more stable society, albeit less advanced.
Today, we are
increasingly becoming one people. Cars are becoming standardized, communication
is improving, and local languages are dying out. Everything from music, to
political beliefs, are falling into standardized camps. If you tell me your
belief on abortion, I have a fairly good guess on your belief of gun rights, or
state pensions.
The question you
may ask is “So what?” So people, the way we do things, and our society as a
whole may be broken into these uniform blocks, or “bricks”. As in the days of
Nimrod, when we were as one people, it made us more susceptible to instability.
Any biologist will tell you that monocultures in an ecosystem invite problems
with disease, wildfires, and the like. We as a people are not that different.
Class warfare, fascism, communism, or whatever you call it, crushes new ways of
thinking, new ideas, and freedom in general.
The Order that created Chaos in Europe |
Like a house of
cards, the higher orders of organization, the greater the likelihood, and the
greater the potential for chaos when it all crumbles. Those who dream of world
domination, dream of a living hell on Earth for everyone. With no recourse to
resolve conflict, mere mortals would be subjected to the whim of the tyrannical
leaders that would surely rise to the top. Unless the leader is some
all-knowing being with a perfect set of morals, we are better to have
leadership broken into as small of pieces as possible. There, those who are
closest to the situation at hand are in the position of authority, and have a
closer relationship to those we lead.
Natural systems
thrive on disorder. Weather is a system where warm air rises, creating clouds,
which cool the surface, cycling the system and bringing in necessary water from
elsewhere. Life thrives best when it is warm, cool, dry and wet in cyclical
periods. Governance works best under a limited system with checks and balances
from a legislature, judiciary, executive, and the people as a whole. Needs and
wishes of various groups are balanced by others in a systematic way. Economic
systems work well when the economic forces set prices, and create supply and
demand, as new ideas are formed and outside factors influence the market. Each
of these system have set system of physical laws which cannot be usurped. Sure,
we can push those forces with intervention, (such as having a house plant, or
create a socialist system) but those systems need to be regulated on a
continual basis, or you will have a detrimental outcome. The further the
control is away from the source, the less informed decisions are made.
How We Can Keep Authority Local
In principal,
authority should be governed on the smallest unit available. If that smaller
unit is unable or unwilling to govern itself, that authority is delegated to
the next level up.
The smallest
unit is the individual. A person is endowed by their creator with certain
unalienable rights. Among these rights are life, liberty, the ownership of
property, and the pursuit of happiness. Along with these rights, God gives us
reasonability to help secure those rights among our neighbor. We cannot morally
kill, enslave, steal, or coerce others. When we do so, we are neglecting our
responsibility, and delegating that authority to the next higher level.
It should be
noted, that no man cannot morally give authority to a government that he does
not possess himself. If it is immoral for me to steal from my neighbor for my
personal gain, then it would also be immoral for me to vote in a government
that would do the dirty work for me (i.e. Socialism). We may morally but forth
systems like fire protection, which creates a mutual benefit for all, but not
systems that only benefit individuals. -

If we are in a
family, and the matter can be handled at that level (ex. a 10 year old kid who
punches his brother) then it should be handled there. Dad tells Johnny to stand
in the corner. If dad neglects his responsibility to govern, and calls the cops
or child protective services, he may be giving up the right to authority over
that child. If the state usurps the parental authority by installing
surveillance cameras and sidestepping the parent, the state is behaving in an
immoral manner, and should be overthrown.
We will not
have the power to overthrow a government, but we can be the candle set up on a
hill. If we have the courage, through our influence, we can affect the minds of
people around us. Unlike the war in Ukraine recently, the globalists in the
United States are being stopped before real acts of violence have occurred.
Quick action to destroy unlawful usurpations of power is necessary in order to
stop real conflict as order is created. Anarchy is not the answer, because a
total lack of government can lead to mob rule.
Have the courage to be this guy |
This is a movement of individuals, stand up in the way that
suits you. If that means blogging in a convincing way, homeschooling your kids,
running for the local city council, excelling in the moral order in your sphere
of influence, volunteering at a local community program, or just talking to
your friend and family, do it. Find the cause you believe in, and become
involved. Maintain that individualism, maintain your freedom.
