40. Set Goals. Write them down.
I mentioned this before. For about a year and a half now, our family has a weekly council. We typically have them on Sunday evenings. In them, we go through our weekly goals, our family as a whole, and then each as an individuals.
This week, mine are: 1) Exercise 5 times, 2) Read 2 chapters (Old Testament) daily, 3) Meet with 3rd Son, 4) Repair hinge on shed door
Sometimes I accomplish all of them, sometimes I don't. We go around the room, mark off how we did, and discuss any thing coming up in the week, or any concerns anyone has.
It sounds like a pain in the butt, but it does help motivate each other. We finished off by cutting up a watermelon. I then type it up on the computer and post the goal/reminder sheet on the fridge.
