The three point balance

The Red Pill society has three distinct viewpoints about women: traditionalist, pickup artist, and mgtow. While we each can lean on one viewpoint more than the others depending on our individual circumstances, I do not believe it is healthy to neglect the other viewpoints completely. Each viewpoint has its own strengths and weaknesses.

Traditional 

Most of us want to leave a legacy, to have a family we can be proud of. I probably lean most heavily on the traditional point of view.  At this point in my life, I am locked into it with my wife and six kids. I am working hard to see that my family grows stronger, morally and spiritually. In doing so, I believe I am helping to improve my community and nation. Having a strong, traditional family not only improves the likelihood of remaining together as a family, but improves the quality of all of our family relationships.

That being said, there are drawbacks. I am putting my finances at risk by being married. My wife could leave me at any moment and take my kids and wealth. Being unemployed as a stay at home mom, she would get child support and alimony. I have to work harder, I have lost freedom, I have more stress in my work and at home. I have more to lose, financially and emotionally.

Mgtow 

As far as stress, mgtows have it pretty good. Being able to work full time and having no family to support, they don’t have nearly the financial problems.  There is freedom, and opportunity everywhere to live life how you want, without restraints put on by people around you. 

That being said, there are also drawbacks. Women won’t be there. There is less motivation to improve yourself, and the years of solitude could drive someone crazy, or create a feeling of being useless

Pickup artists

The pua guys have it good. Constantly working on themselves in the gym, in the career, or their social skills, they learn how to get the women, and in other areas of life to get what they want. Guys want to be them, girls want to be with them. 

That being said, it takes a lot of work to drive the nice cars, to be completely ripped, to constantly hone your people skills, to spend night after night at the clubs for the next cheap thrill. On top of that, there runs the risk of false rape accusations, getting a disease, getting assaulted by a jealous man, or having a baby you don’t want. There are the moral issues.

Comparisons 

Each group can look at the other two with disdain. A traditional type can blame the breakdown of society with the other two (I don’t, but most Trad-cons do). A mgtow will see the others as putting unnecessary risk for women. The pua sees the others as weak and pathetic. In their mind, each of the groups sees the other two groups as fairly similar. 

The thing is, none of these groups are totally right, but neither are they totally wrong. You as a man, have to find the right balance between these three groups that works for you. Have the character of a traditional, the self determination of a mgtow and the skills of a pua. 

Each one of these groups can benefit you. For instance, say you are a 22 year old college student, you want a good career and a good family. You can take the moral compass from the traditional, go to church and work on your demeanor. You can study hard and be ok with the long nights alone as a mgtow. MGTOW will also help you be happy with yourself if you cannot find a woman worthy of marriage, and may save you from making a huge mistake from being too thirsty. You can work on your pickup skills while your status still is low. Go on dates and learn to flirt so when the time is right, you can get that woman you want. 

Say you are married with several kids, use the traditional messages to raise strong young men and morally superior women. You can improve the likelihood of having a successful marriage, and the quality of your marriage and relationships with your kids. Use the mgtow ideas and stand up for yourself when appropriate or find comfort in solitude after an argument, or it will help give you the testicular fortitude you need to walk if your situation becomes abusive. Use your pua skills to woo your wife and keep her interested for an improved sex life, and a more robust marriage.

Say you are older, divorced, or otherwise feel crapped on in life. You decide marriage and relationships aren't for you anymore. Mgtow will help give you a sense of identity. Still, you can work on yourself and you can still flirt with the waitress for some occasional fun. You can help out in your church and community, or get involved with your extended family for a sense of purpose.  You can develop a workout routine and develop non-sexual or short term relationships with those around you. You will find that the pua interpersonal skills will still help you in your job or with dealing with people in general.

Conclusion 

The world is a complex place and one hammer does not fix all problems. As a man, learn and apply all aspects of the Red Pill lifestyle as appropriate to your position in life so you can develop as a well rounded individual.
