You know apples don't fall from the tree. You hook up with some over the hill bar hag, and you will have to deal with their family.
A good friend of mine started dating this woman when she was 15 or 16. Nice skinny little thing, Slim would have been proud. She lived in a camp trailer with her 5 sisters, her mom and dad. She was alright, and they are still married. But their family....sheesh. Total welfare cases, his father in law made his money by cutting firewood and welfare, mother in law ran off with some druggie and ended up overdosing a year later. The majority of those daughters have been in and out of rehab, welfare cases, and losers in general.Oddly enough, the girl he married (shotgun wedding) ended up being the only decent one out of the bunch, probably because they became serious when she was still young and impressionable enough. They decided to avoid them as much as possible and he became a HVAC journeyman, and built his own business. However, they still have to deal with the constant begging for money, drama, drug use and horrible examples of the in-laws.
While horrible in-laws are a big red flag, my friend's wife showed that it is not a full stop red flag. She actually ended up being a decent catch and relatively attractive. Mostly, it is because he worked hard enough to have her as a traditional, full time wife and made a name for himself.
Most of the time however, the skanky hot messes have in-laws that are just as bad as she is, and will be a horde of users asking for favors.
